Vidyut Jamwal,born on 10 December 1980 is an Indian actor,model and MMA artist.He debuted into Bollywood playing bad guy in movie Force alongside John Abraham.Everyone was in awe after seeing his body in the movie which was at par with John’s body.In his last movie Commando , he showed off  his martial arts skills.Vidyut , is trained in various forms of martial arts,mastering an Indian ancient martial art form called kalaripayattu.At the age 11, he represented India at international tournaments in more than 30 countries.

Vidyut’s fitness routine includes training early in the morning from 6 am to 11 am and then again from 5 pm to 9 pm. He does a mix of martial arts, kalaripayattu, gymnastics, jiu jitsu  and parkour .Vidyut does not spend too much time in the gym and only goes there for strength training.His fitness mantra is a simple one – religiously do any physical activity that you love and it will make sure that you stay fit. It can be anything from swimming, badminton to kick-boxing.Here’s a sample of Vidyut Jamwal workout to help you get lean and toned body The workout below is done 4 times per week on alternating days.

Day 1  (Chest/Triceps)

  • Barbell bench press – 3 x 6 reps
  • Incline bench press – 3 x 8 reps
  • Cables flyes – 2 x 13 reps
  • Rope pushdown – 3 x 10 reps
  • Skull crushers – 3 x 10 reps
  • Tricep kickbacks – 2 x 15 reps

Day 2 (Lower body)

  • Dumbbell lunges – 2 x 8 reps per leg
  • Dumbbell reverse lunges – 2 x 8 reps per leg
  • Stiff legged deadlift – 3 x 10 reps
  • Run on treadmill for 15 minutes

Day 3 (Back/Biceps)

  • Cable row – 3 x 6 reps
  • Chin ups – 3 x 8 reps
  • T-bar row- 2 x 13 reps
  • EZ bar curl- 3 x 10 reps
  • Hammer curl – 3 x 10 reps per arm
  • Reverse barbell curls – 2 x 15 reps

Day 4 (Shoulders/traps)

  • Seated dumbbell press – 3 x 6 reps
  • Upright row – 3 x 8 reps
  • Shrugs – 2 x 13 reps
  • Dumbbell side lateral raise- 2 x 10 reps per arm
  • Dumbbell front lateral raise - 2 x 10 reps per arm

Vidyut Jamwal diet routine

Vidyut Jamwal is a pure vegetarian and ardent supporter  of PETA. Though he is not a follower of a strict diet, he believes in having a balanced yet tasty meal. Here are few tips regarding his diet:

  • Eat 4 meals a day
  • Eat food with very less oil or sugar
  • No aerated drinks
  • Protein Shakes everyday
  • Eat tofu  to get protein which a great substitute of meat
